This weekend’s games

Wasps v Leeds

Today, 3pm, Adams Park

Leeds' journey to Buckinghamshire today looks a forlorn hope. They are rooted to the foot of the table and face a Wasps pack that has Joe Worsley playing his first game since injuring a hamstring in a brief World Cup final appearance and Tom Palmer back in the second row for the first time in three months. Phil Vickery is rested with a calf strain and Tom French takes his place.

Match pointers Wasps have never been beaten by Leeds in 10 previous games, although the sides drew 27-27 here in 2002 ... Leeds have lost their last 11 away Premiership games.

Harlequins v Leicester

Tomorrow, 1.15pm, The Stoop, Sky Sports 1

Dean Richards has suggested this week that all is not sweetness and light at his old club Leicester, who travel to London with Martin Corry, Lewis Moody and Ben Kay restored to their pack. Quins' captain Nick Easter faces a late fitness test with Chris Hala'Ufia standing by to take the England No8's place. If Easter plays Quins will be unchanged from the side that won at Worcester.

Match pointers Leicester have won all of their eight last games against Quins ... Tigers have only won one of their last six away games in the Premiership, at Leeds on November 24.

London Irish v Sale

Tomorrow, 3pm, Madejski Stadium

Sale's recent form and their past record in Reading suggest they can come away with the spoils. A bonus for the Sharks is the return after a leg injury of Luke McAlister, who lines up in the centre alongside Lee Thomas, and Richard Wigglesworth has a chance to state his England credentials at scrum-half. Shane Geraghty moves to inside-centre for Irish, who have Bob Casey back to lead them after illness last weekend.

Match pointers Sale have won eight of their last nine games in all competitions ... Irish have lost five of their last six games against Sale in Reading.

Bristol v Saracens

Tomorrow, 3pm, Memorial Stadium

Saracens' 22-19 home defeat by Newcastle last Sunday brought them down to earth and the third-placed club make sweeping changes with the Italian prop Matias Aguero making a first start and Andy Farrell, Richard Hill and Glen Jackson all returning. Bristol have Mark Regan back at hooker after the thumping at Gloucester and Jason Strange takes David Hill's place at fly-half.

Match pointers Saracens have not lost in Bristol since December 1999 ... Bristol have lost only one of their last eight home games in the Premiership.

Newcastle v Worcester

Tomorrow, 3pm, Kingston Park

Newcastle's rousing victory at Saracens belied the myth that the Falcons are a set of backs waiting for a pack to turn up, and Worcester will be hard pressed to win a first Premiership game. Loki Crichton returns to his old club at fly-half for the Warriors and Miles Benjamin starts on the left wing against an unchanged Newcastle, for whom Jamie Noon makes his 200th start.

Match pointers Worcester's only win here was in April 2005 ... The Warriors have not won an away Premiership game since a victory at Sale last March. Ian Malin
