Two tries from the England flanker Tom Croft helped Leicester come back from 22–9 down to beat Bath in the Guinness Premiership at Welford Road.

Bath outscored the Tigers by three tries to two, the lock Stuart Hooper and hooker Pieter Dixon crossing the Tigers' line before the Kiwi wing Joe Maddock scored a superb long-range try, set up by Butch James.

Leicester's own Springbok fly-half, Derick Hougaard, dropped a goal in the second half to make up for missing a relatively easy conversion of Croft's first try.

The result puts Leicester fourth in the Premiership table, four points behind Bath, who missed a chance to return to the top. London Irish hold on to that position; Gloucester are second.
