West Bromwich Albion v Manchester United (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
West Brom will be without their captain Jonathan Greening for the game against his former club Manchester United. Greening suffered a knee injury during the weekend's FA Cup tie with Burnley. The central defender Ryan Donk could be pressed into service despite suffering a groin injury against Owen Coyle's side. The Albion manager, Tony Mowbray, is already without four injured centre-backs in Abdoulaye Méïté, Jonas Olsson, Leon Barnett and long-term casualty Neil Clement.
Provisional West Bromwich squad: Carson, Kiely, Zuiverloon, Hoefkens, Donk, Pele, Robinson, Cech, Koren, Teixeira, Do-Heon, Valero, Brunt, Simpson, Fortune, Bednar, Dorrans, Hodgkiss, Moore.
Sir Alex Ferguson will be without 12 senior players as Manchester United look to consolidate their position as Premier League leaders. Fabio Da Silva (calf) and Danny Welbeck (ankle) have been added to an already extensive injury list, leaving Ferguson little option but to pack his bench with youngsters. Darren Fletcher seems certain to play at right-back and Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to shrug off the effects of a stomach bug.
Provisional Manchester United squad: Van der Sar, Foster, Kuszczak, Neville, Vidic, O'Shea, Chester, Eckersley, Ronaldo, Carrick, Gibson, Possebon, Scholes, Giggs, Cleverley, Berbatov, Tevez, Macheda, Brandy, Petrucci.
Portsmouth v Aston Villa (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
New signings Hayden Mullins and Pele are in contention to make their Portsmouth debuts against Aston Villa. Mullins signed on a permanent deal from West Ham while fellow midfielder Pele is on loan from Porto until the end of the season. Either player could come in for Sean Davis, who missed training on Monday with a stomach virus, and the manager, Tony Adams, is already without long-term absentees Papa Bouba Diop and Richard Hughes. Younes Kaboul has declared himself fit after a five-week absence with a back injury but is unlikely to be risked.
Provisional Portsmouth squad: James, Johnson, Campbell, Distin, Belhadj, Mvuemba, Wilson, Kranjcar, Kanu, Nugent, Crouch, Begovic, Kaboul, Pamarot, Primus, Cranie, Hreidarsson, A Traore, Little, Utaka, Mullins, Pele.
Emile Heskey is set to make his Aston Villa debut against Portsmouth at Fratton Park. The England striker has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract after completing his £3.5million move from Wigan before the weekend. The defender Luke Young will be available after missing the draw at Doncaster while serving a one-game ban for incurring five bookings. The winger Ashley Young will serve the second game of a three-match suspension for his straight red card at Sunderland.
Provisional Aston Villa squad: Friedel, Guzan, L Young, Cuéllar, Knight, Davies, Shorey, Milner, Reo-Coker, Sidwell, Petrov, Barry, Agbonlahor, Heskey, Gardner, Harewood, Delfouneso, Salifou, Osbourne, Clark.
Sunderland v Fulham (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
The Sunderland manager, Ricky Sbragia, rested the strikers Kenwyne Jones and Djibril Cissé, as well as the midfielders Dean Whitehead and El-Hadji Diouf from the starting line-up for Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round clash with Blackburn, but all four could return against Fulham. Teemu Tainio is available after serving a one-match ban while George McCartney could feature again after returning from his long-term foot injury as a substitute at the weekend. Paul McShane is available after being cup-tied.
However, Pascal Chimbonda is expected to re-join Tottenham this week and Kieran Richardson remains a doubt despite resuming training after an ankle problem, while Nyron Nosworthy (hamstring) and Craig Gordon (ankle) are still out.
Provisional Sunderland squad: Fulop, Colgan, Bardsley, McShane, McCartney, Ferdinand, Collins, Whitehead, Malbranque, Leadbitter, Tainio, Edwards, Yorke, Reid, Henderson, Diouf, Cisse, Jones, Murphy, Healy, Chopra.
Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has no fresh injury concerns for tomorrow's meeting with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. Hodgson experimented with playing Clint Dempsey up front in Saturday's FA Cup tie at non-league Kettering, but is more likely to go with Andrew Johnson and Bobby Zamora after they swung the match the way of the Cottagers. Andranik Teymourian (knee) is gaining match fitness in the reserves but Diomansy Kamara (knee) remains in the treatment room.
Provisional Fulham squad: Schwarzer, Konchesky, Pantsil, Baird, Hughes, Murphy, Dempsey, Davies, Gera, Zamora, Johnson, Zuberbuhler, Nevland, Gray, Etuhu, Stoor, Andreasen, Kallio, Hangeland.
Tottenham Hotspur v Stoke City (Tuesday, 8pm)
Heurelho Gomes is a doubt for Tottenham, while Jermaine Jenas (calf) and Darren Bent (groin) are only just back training. Alan Hutton (foot), Ledley King (hamstring) and Jamie O'Hara (hip) are out, while Aaron Lennon (groin), Jonathan Woodgate (back) and Luka Modric (back/hamstring) are carrying knocks but may play.
The Stoke striker Ricardo Fuller is expected to return after completing a three-match ban for slapping his team-mate Andy Griffin. Fuller is likely to be on the bench with the manager, Tony Pulis, sticking by the team which suffered an injury-time defeat at Chelsea last time out. The only question mark concerns the defender Danny Higginbotham (calf) after he limped off at Stamford Bridge and Griffin, who replaced him, is on standby. Salif Diao (calf), Mamady Sidibe (knee) and Andrew Davies (knee) are still ruled out.
Provisional Stoke squad: Simonsen, Wilkinson, Shawcross, Abdoulaye Faye, Higginbotham, Griffin, Delap, Amdy Faye, Whelan, Etherington, Cresswell, Beattie, Simonsen, Pugh, Kitson, Olofinjana, Lawrence, Sonko, Tonge.
