John Trewick has agreed to take over from Graham Turner as Hereford manager, the League One club has announced.

Turner, the second-longest-serving manager in England behind Sir Alex Ferguson, revealed on Wednesday he would be stepping down at Edgar Street after 14 years in charge.

The former Aston Villa manager was due to continue until the end of the season before handing the reins over to the first-team coach Trewick in the summer.

But that has now been brought forward and Trewick will take charge of the club's final two games of this season.
