Chelsea 3–1 Fulham

Karen Childs, Observer reader Memories of the away game in December were still lingering here; Fulham are a tough team and always put up a good fight – and this was no exception. There were still four goals in the game, however this time they were not evenly split as the combination of Malouda, Drogba and Anelka displayed their brilliance in attack – the latter, in particular, was magnificent. While we should be out celebrating the derby win, everyone is just so nervous about our Champions League semi-final on Wednesday.

Player ratings Cech 7; Bosingwa 6, Terry 7, Alex 8 (Ivanovic ht 6), A Cole 8; Essien 7 (Ballack ht 6), Mikel 7, Lampard 7; Drogba 8 (Di Santo 84 n/a), Anelka 9, Malouda 8

Jon Hall, Observer reader Chelsea have been living in our shadow ever since we won the Intertoto Cup – something that they will never be able to achieve – so they always try to lift their game a bit when we meet. As a result, it was no surprise to see them start such a strong attacking line-up here. Still, we were in the game throughout the first half and were only undone by a couple of serious defensive lapses. Looking forward, we have every chance of winning our last three games and, if we do, it will be time to get out the passports.

Player ratings Schwarzer 6; Pantsil 8, Hughes 6, Hangeland 6, Konchesky 7; Gera 7, Murphy 7, Etuhu 6, Dempsey 6; Zamora 6 (Dacourt 76 6), Nevland 7 (Kamara 35 6)

Manchester City 3–1 Blackburn Rovers

Robert O'Brien, Observer reader Bit of a mish-mash, but some of the interplay between Robinho and Elano was magic. Elano is world class and it's a mystery why Mark Hughes has waited until now to use him consistently. We've started playing now the pressure's off, and I can't work out whether that's in spite of Hughes or because of him. But I'll tell you what – I'm glad we didn't get Sam Allardyce. He played his centre-half up front again, and that is why there's no English manager in our top four sides.

Player ratings Given 7; Richards 7, Dunne 6, Onuoha 7, Bridge 6; Kompany 6, De Jong 5; Elano 8 (Petrov 78 6), Ireland 6, Robinho 7; Caicedo 6 (Bojinov 62 6)

Simon Leigh, Observer reader All our players needed were their flip-flops and Bermuda shorts – someone needs to tell 'em that the season doesn't finish for three weeks. It was shocking. Most people think we're safe, and by the looks of today, the players do, too. We need one more point to be sure, but on that performance we're not going to get it. Injuries, especially to Santa Cruz, haven't helped, and Allardyce looks like he's targeting certain games he thinks we can win.

Player ratings Robinson 5; Ooijer 5, Nelsen 5, Givet 5, Warnock 5; Diouf 5, Tugay 5 (Doran 64 5), Grella 5, Pedersen 5; Samba 5 (Andrews 64 5), McCarthy 5 (Villanueva ht 5)

Middlesbrough 0–2 Manchester United

Elle Brunton, ComeOnBoro.com I just want the season over now. We did start with some attacking intent and some semblance of urgency. Aliadière forced a save and had a couple of shots in the first half. But King was useless and when Alves came on he was absent apart from one shot which went miles over. We didn't look like scoring and even players who usually run all day stopped trying in the second half. It was the last day to register for cheap season tickets, and that was really bad timing.

Player ratings Jones 3; McMahon 4 (Digard 52 6), Wheater 6, Huth 5, Hoyte 6; O'Neil 4 (Emnes 70 5), Tuncay 6, Bates 5, Downing 5; Aliadière 4, King 3 (Alves 52 4)

Shaun O'Donnell, Observer reader The result was never in doubt, and after a sublime goal by Giggs it was only a matter of time before we got a second. A few players came in to freshen up the team, and they didn't let the manager down. It was a commanding performance, particularly from Giggs and Scholes, who played with great authority. But Boro are a poor team, and I won't be sorry to see them go down. The buoyant United fans made it a good atmosphere, but I have never really enjoyed coming here.

Player ratings Foster 7; O'Shea 7, Evans 8, Vidic 7, Evra 7 (Rafael 78 6); Park 7 (Nani 76 6), Scholes 8, Giggs 8, Rooney 8; Berbatov 7, Macheda 7 (Tevez 52 7)

Portsmouth 0–3 Arsenal

Mick Dunford, Pompey.org We were absolutely woeful in the first half: the tactics were wrong, the players weren't performing. How Basinas doesn't get a place in our midfield beggars belief. Arsenal could have been four goals up in the first 15 minutes. In the second half, we put three up front and caused them a lot of problems, but Crouch and Utaka missed chances. Pamarot had a shocking game and can have no complaints about his sending-off.

Player ratings James 5; Pamarot 2, Campbell 6, Distin 6, Hreidarsson 4 (Kanu ht 7); Davis 6; Pennant 6 (Utaka ht 5), Mullins 5, Hughes 5, Belhadj 6; Crouch 5

Bernard Azulay, GoonersDiary.blogspot.com Happy to brave bank holiday traffic when our South Coast hosts offer us this sort of hospitality. Considering how many times we've been soaked on an open terrace, it was ironic we were under a roof on a day when we could've been basking in sunshine. Pompey's half-time subs helped them to threaten briefly, but it felt like a training exercise. If I was a Pompey fan, I wouldn't count my chickens yet based on this heartless home performance against our kids.

Player ratings Fabianski 8; Sagna 7, Song 7, Djourou 7, Eboué 7; Walcott 6 (Bischoff 64 6), Ramsey 7 (Randall 82 6), Denílson 7, Arshavin 7; Bendtner 8 (Mérida 77 6), Vela 7

Stoke City 0–1 West Ham United

Chris Baldwin, Stoke.VitalFootball.co.uk It was a difficult game. West Ham passed it well and were the better side. We weren't firing on all cylinders. Maybe we think we're safe and it's causing some complacency to creep in. We probably are, but we don't want to go to Arsenal on the last day needing something to stay up. Fuller's disallowed goal wasn't a surprise and it would have been harsh on West Ham. Delap's throw-ins have been great, but teams are ready for it now and Green just caught all of them.

Player ratings Sorensen 7; Wilkinson 7 (Sonko 87 6), Faye 8, Shawcross 7, Pugh 6 (Olofinjana 72 6); Lawrence 7, Whelan 8, Delap 6, Etherington 7; Beattie 6 (Camara 72 6), Fuller 6

Liam Tyrell, NorthernHammers.vpweb.co.uk Once again, this team has amazed me. We had a reserve midfield and attack out because of all the injuries, but we stood up to their route one tactics and played all the football. Tomkins was superb against Beattie and Fuller, and Green claimed everything. Tristán had one of his better days and his free-kick was right in the corner. Europe might be beyond us, but this team really want it. I have to credit the Stoke fans, too, for creating one of the best atmospheres I've heard all season.

Player ratings Green 8; Neill 8, Tomkins 9, Upson 8, Ilunga 7; Boa Morte 7 (Collison 82 7), Kovac 7, Noble 7 (López 87 6), Stanislas 6; Di Michele 6 (Sears 89 6), Tristán 7

Tottenham Hotspur 1–0 West Brom

Bill Allfrey, PlanetSpurs.com It was pretty dire for the first half; I've not seen Spurs play so badly for a while. We got a goal out of nothing. In the second half we livened up a bit, but most of our good moves came from breakaways. If we had been playing a much better side we would have been hammered. Spurs are better than those just above us so we have a good chance of qualifying for the Europa League but we have to develop a squad strong enough to cope with that number of games.

Player ratings Gomes 7; Corluka 6, King 7, Woodgate 6, Assou-Ekotto 6; Lennon 7, Jenas 7, Palacios 7, Modric 7; Keane 5, Pavlyuchenko 5 (Defoe 65 7)

Terry Wills, Baggies@yahoogroups.com Another groundhog match for Albion, only this time it surely means relegation. They matched Spurs in every department apart from the most vital – putting the bloody ball in the net. Albion defended well and created chances but failing to convert them can only lead to disaster. Despite our impending relegation, there was little to choose between the teams. All we can hope for now is that Tony Mowbray builds on the squad in the hope of making a swift return.

Player ratings Carson 6; Zuiverloon 6, Martis 6, Olsson 7, Robinson 5 (Simpson 58 3); Brunt 6, Greening 6, Valero 6 (Teixeira 77 4), Mulumbu 5 (Menseguez 68 5), Koren 6; Fortuné 7

Wigan Athletic 0–0 Bolton Wanderers

Martin Tarbuck, MudHutsMedia.co.uk I thought a 0-0 draw was a fair result. Wigan should've been two or three up if not for their goalkeeper making some terrific saves. Rodallega is like a Diego Forlan these days – he does everything right, but can't seem to score. He wore pink boots and you have to be a very good player to get away with that. You need a strong referee for a local derby, but Mike Jones was weak. Bolton made the game look like a combination of Gaelic football, rugby league and ice hockey.

Player ratings Kirkland 7; Melchiot 6 (Boyce ht 6), Bramble 7, Scharner 7 (Edman 53 6), Figueroa 7; Valencia 7, Brown 7; Cattermole 7, N'Zogbia 8, Rodallega 7, Mido 8 (Zaki 75 6)

Adam Orr, Observer reader It certainly wasn't a classic – more a case of both teams being pretty poor. We failed in the midfield, where no one was able to hold on to the ball for more than two or three passes. It was an end-of-season game and neither team could keep the ball long enough to threaten. But Wigan were the better attacking side. I'm pretty disappointed, but we can take heart from keeping our first clean sheet away since November. I reckon we need one more win to feel 100% safe.

Player ratings Jaaskelainen 9; Steinsson 7, Cahill 8, O'Brien 6, Samuel 7; Davies 7, Muamba 6; McCann 6, Cohen  5 (Riga 79 6), Taylor 7, Elmander 7;
