Mike Catt has signed a new three-year contract with London Irish that will see him remain the Exiles' attack coach until 2013. The 38-year-old former England back ended his playing career earlier this month in order to concentrate on his tracksuit role at the Madejski Stadium.

"One of my main reasons for retiring from playing was a desire to focus full-time on coaching," said Catt.

"At times last season I didn't feel I was able to give head coach Toby Booth my full support due to my playing commitments. Now I relish the opportunity to help Irish reach their full potential."

Catt is the latest coach to agree a new deal at Irish, following in the footsteps of Booth and defensive mastermind Dave Ellis.
