England v France: Imanol Harinordoquy breaks with the ball
Imanol Harinordoquy breaks with the ball. This is symptomatic of France's fightback and they take the lead in the 10th minute when Dimitri Yachvili slots home from distance. He then strokes home another six minutes later Photograph: Hannah Johnston/Getty Images
England v France: Vincent Clerc scores a try for England
France's concerted effort over the past 10 minutes pays dividends when Clerc slips through some pitiful English defending, he even has time to perform a 360 degree spin on his way to going over the line. 11-0 to France Photograph: Phil Walter/Getty Images

England v France: Ben Foden scores a try for England
Somehow England put the previous 54 minutes of turgid rugby behind them and start to fling the ball about. Ben Foden grabs hold of it, cuts inside and puts his foot down to streak past Lionel Nallet and over the line. Wilkinson converts. 16-7, this is going to get interesting Photograph: David Rogers/Getty Images
England v France: France's Francois Trinh-Duc kicks a drop goal
With eight minutes to go, François Trinh-Duc attempts to put a bit of distance between the teams following Foden's try when he receives the ball from Parra. His drop goal sails between the post. It's 19-7 to France, England now need two converted tries. That's going to be hard Photograph: Stefan Wermuth/Reuters
England v France: Vincent Clerc fails to prevent Mark Cueto from scoring a try
... or is it? Five minutes later Matt Banahan bombs down the right but can't quite break through. The ball is passed out to the left where Mark Cueto is waiting. Despite Clerc's best efforts, he manages to snaffle the ball over the line. Flood slices the conversion well wide. The deficit is only seven points now.
