Nemanja Vidic is confident that Manchester United will win the title this season with the captain emphasising the need for three points from every match.
Vidic told United Review: "As the season goes on longer and longer we will get better and better – no doubt about that. I think we just have to win the games where we don't play well. It will happen, there will be games when we don't play well but we have to win them.
"Sometimes the main thing is to play for three points and we want the title. I think this year we understand that. We didn't start well and I believe we will be better."
Asked if he was confident that United would wrest back the championship Vidic said: "Of course. You look forward, you never look back. Whenever we won it before we never looked back, that's why we're successful. I think when you look back it doesn't make you better – you always have to look ahead to the next challenge."
United secured a first win of the campaign in Saturday's 3-2 win over Fulham at Old Trafford after losing 1-0 at Everton in their opening match.
