The two Manchester sides, first and second in the Premier League, were kept apart in the draw for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. But should United defeat Reading on Monday night and Chelsea win their rescheduled fifth-round game at Middlesbrough on 27 February, the two will meet in the tie of the round.

Blackburn have been rewarded for their win at Arsenal with a trip to Millwall while Barnsley, the other non-Premier League side definitely through to the last eight, face a daunting visit to Manchester City, winners of the trophy in 2011. The winners of the Goodison Park replay between Everton and Oldham Athletic will play at home to Wigan Athletic.

The draw in full:

Oldham Athletic/Everton v Wigan Athletic

Manchester City v Barnsley

Manchester United/Reading v Middlesbrough/Chelsea

Millwall v Blackburn Rovers

Matches to be played the weekend of 9/10 March

Odds to win FA Cup Manchester City 13-8, Manchester United 5-2, Everton 9-2, Chelsea 5-1, Wigan 25-1, Blackburn 40-1, Millwall 50-1, Reading 100-1, Barnsley 200-1, Middlesbrough, 250-1, Oldham 500-1
