Wayne Rooney is now officially Mr Potato Head, having appeared on a poster advertising Mister Potato crisps in Malaysia.

The Manchester United striker, referred to as "the spud-faced nipper" by Private Eye, has been used in the snack merchants' marketing campaign in Malaysia.

In the poster, Rooney is pictured holding the crisps and standing underneath a "Mister Potato" sign.

Mister Potato are United's official snack partner and say they share the English champions' "commitment to excellence".
