Police issue appeal after six-year-old Everton fan hit in face by bottle

A six-year-old girl was hit in the face by a bottle thrown at Everton supporters from the Leicester section at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Merseyside police and Leicestershire police have issued an appeal for information and are working with both clubs to identify the culprit, who threw the bottle at the end of Leicester’s 4-0 defeat. The girl was uninjured but distressed by the incident. It is believed the object was thrown from the Lower Bullens end of the away section.

Anyone with information about the incident can call 101 or direct message @MerPolCC on X, quoting reference number 25000087039. Alternatively, witnesses can contact david.stevens@leics.police.uk or @LeicsEvents.
