Swansea's reward for their knocking out the holders Portsmouth in the fourth round of the FA Cup is a home draw with another Premier League side Fulham. The Swans sprung the shock of the weekend by beating Portsmouth 2-0 at Fratton Park thanks to a goal from Nathan Dyer and Jason Scotland's penalty will fancy their chances of gaining another scalp against Fulham, who have already lost to Championship opposition this season in the shape of Burnley in the Carling Cup.
Fulham just about scraped past non-league Kettering yesterday, only late strikes from Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora sparing Roy Hodgson's team the embarrassment of a replay in a 4-2 win.
Elsewhere there is potential for a mouthwatering tie at Anfield, if both Liverpool and Aston Villa can emerge from replays against Everton and Doncaster unscathed. The clubs' relationship has deteriorated in the past year, following Liverpool's lengthy summer pursuit of Gareth Barry, although Everton and Doncaster will feel it will be them competing in the fifth round.
Elsewhere Derby may welcome Manchester United again following their defeat in the Carling Cup semi-final, if they win their replay at Nottingham Forest, while Watford face the daunting task of a visit of Chelsea, in a match the Hornets manager Brendan Rodgers will savour, considering he was a coach at Chelsea until he departed for Vicarage Road.
The one all-Premier League match sees West Ham entertain Middlesbrough, the former winning the pair's semi-final in 2006, while Hull travel to Sheffield United, the winner of Sunderland and Blackburn plays Coventry, and the victor between Arsenal and Cardiff take on Burnley or West Brom.
