Bath v Wasps

Kick-off: 2.45pm today

Venue: Recreation Ground

TV: Sky Sports 2

Last season: Bath 6 Wasps 10

Last five league matches: Bath: LWWWD Wasps: LWWWW

The match of the day and England's new coach Andy Robinson will assess the form of his former club's open-side Michael Lipman, who will be in the frame for the first of next month's Test matches. Injury-plagued Wasps field another new half-back combination, Harvey Biljon and James Brooks, who takes over from Alex King who has 11 stitches over an eye.

London Irish v Leeds

Kick-off: 3pm today

Venue: Madejski Stadium

Last season: London Irish 31 Leeds 16

Last five: Irish: LLLWW Leeds: LLWLW

Irish's win at Sale eight days ago was one of the upsets of the season and they should run up a third successive victory in Reading today where Mike Catt, who missed the trip to Stockport with a dead leg, returns to the centre. Leeds are still without their star men Phil Christophers and Tom Palmer. Their forwards are a handful but they badly need Iain Balshaw to provide some flair from the bench.

Harlequins v Leicester

Kick-off: 3pm today

Venue: The Stoop

Last season: Harlequins 20 Leicester 23

Last five: Harl: LLLLL Leic: WWWWD

The clocks have not gone back and Quins are already 20 points behind the leaders Leicester and Premiership life could be ticking away. Their Australian scrum-half Matt Henjak makes a home debut when his opposite number will be the former Quin Scott Bemand. Of a wider significance to English rugby is the return to the Leicester bench of England's Lewis Moody, who will be itching to rub salt in Quins' wounds.

Newcastle v Saracens

Kick-off: 3pm tomorrow

Venue: Kingston Park

Last season: Newcastle 27 Saracens 32

Last five: Newc: WWLLL Sara: WLLLW

Saracens at last found form against Northampton but they gave been forced to move Thomas Castaignède to full-back in place of the injured Dan Scarbrough. Newcastle are shipping points worryingly - and a nation will continue to fret over the form of Jonny Wilkinson - but they will want to show the visiting captain, Hugh Vyvyan, what he is missing.

Northampton v Sale

Kick-off: 3pm today

Venue: Franklin's Gardens

Last season: Northampton 51 Sale 12

Last five: North: WLLLL Sale: WWWWL

Ben Cohen is back on the left wing and Northampton, with four defeats on the trot, desperately need him to rediscover some form. John Clarke is at full-back and Bruce Reihana continues at No10 to try to inject spark into the back line. A worry for England is that the Sale prop Trevor Woodman has a knee injury. He is replaced by Andrew Sheridan, to whom England could yet turn for the front row next month.

Worcester v Gloucester

Kick-off: 2pm today

Venue: Sixways

Last season: No fixture

Last five: Worc: LLLWL Glos: WWWLW

Gloucester may already have one eye on Europe - they travel to Stade Français next weekend - but they should be wary of a potential hazard lying ahead just off the M5 in the shape of a Worcester side finding form. The former Gloucester prop Tony Windo will want to prove a point and may pack down against Phil Vickery, who is on the visitors' bench. Gloucester start with the side that beat Quins.
