Squad sheets: Everton v Manchester United

Robin van Persie is expected to go straight into the Manchester United team to face Everton after signing from Arsenal

Sir Alex Ferguson has sounded ebullient this week. There can be no doubt that the purchase of Robin van Persie from Arsenal gives him an array of forwards that others will envy, but the implication was that Manchester United are not receding into the shadows merely because Manchester City are Premier League champions. He was also indicating once more that he is at peace with the policies of the owners, the Glazers. Everton, however, could cause United disquiet on Monday night in a demanding fixture at Goodison.
