Shane Williams has been recalled to the Wales team for their match against France at the Stade de France on Friday evening.
The Ospreys wing, the International Rugby Board's player of the year for 2008, injured an ankle in the victory over Scotland at Murrayfield and missed the subsequent home win over England. He replaces the Scarlets' Mark Jones in the side.
Gavin Henson, the Ospreys centre who has not played in the Six Nations so far this season, is on the bench in place of Andrew Bishop, an Ospreys team-mate.
Williams has scored 45 tries in 62 Tests.
"A fit Shane Williams is a player any coach would want in their side so it was a natural decision for him to come in for Mark Jones, with no disrespect to Mark who did a good job for us against England," said Warren Gatland, Wales's head coach.
"France are one of the top sides in the championship and they are always going to be tough opposition, especially at home, and this is a must-win game for them if they are to keep their title hopes alive.
"We also know how tough it will be for them with a short six-day turnaround for many of their players who have featured in domestic rugby this weekend. We had a similar experience ourselves in between the Scotland and England games and found it hard going, so that is something we must try to take advantage of."
Wales are looking for their ninth successive Six Nations win, which would equal the marks set by England in 2002-04 and France in 2003-05. They have won three times in Paris since 1999.
