Red Bulls and New York City fans clash in New Jersey.

Sunday’s New York derby was marred by an ugly sight as supporters of both MLS sides clashed before kick-off in New Jersey.

Gangs of supporters of both New York Red Bulls and the newly formed New York City FC were seen shouting ‘Who are ya?’ and throwing bags of rubbish and sandwich boards at each other.

The clash took place not far from Penn Station in Newark, less than a mile from the Red Bull Stadium, where the Red Bulls eventually beat New York City 2-0.
