Fawaz al-Hasawi, the Nottingham Forest owner, has reported vandalism to his car to police following the 2-1 victory over Derby County.

Hasawi tweeted pictures of his Mercedes-Benz Viano, showing a missing number plate and damage to the wheels. “Very professional,” he said in a tweet. “But in the end I don’t mind at all! The three points are more important!”

A 23-year-old man from Derby has been arrested in connection with an earlier pitch invasion at the iPro Stadium and police also confirmed that cars and a bus were damaged in the east car park near the ground.

Witnesses saw the supporter run on after the final whistle and try to throw a punch at the Forest defender Kelvin Wilson, before confronting a handful of other visiting players.

The fan, who ran on from a Derby section of the stadium and through a line of stewards, appeared to swing at Wilson and was then tackled to the ground by the Forest defender Jamaal Lascelles. He was surrounded by stewards and dragged away from the Forest players.

A police spokesman said: “A 23-year-old Derby supporter from the south stand entered the playing area and made contact with a Nottingham Forest player.

“The supporter has been arrested, and a joint investigation will be taking place between Derbyshire police and Derby County.”

A spokesman for the home club said: “Derby County are concerned at the encroachment of the playing area by a home supporter at the end of Saturday’s game with Nottingham Forest. The supporter was apprehended by stewards and subsequently arrested by Derbyshire police.”
