League One: Leicester City have lost their opening home game of the season in League One, going down 2-1 to Burton Albion and having Oliver Skipp sent off in the process.

Championship: Taty Castellanos hits the post with a penalty, squandering a chance to equalise for West Ham against Charlton, who are clinging on to their 2-1 lead. At St Mary’s, Ryan Manning has scored a penalty deep in added time to give Southampton a 3-1 lead over Stoke City. Meanwhile at Deepdale, Jordan Thopmpson has scored a consolation for Preston against Wolves.

Championship: Joel Piroe has a goal ruled out for West Ham, who are 2-1 down against Charlton, while Divin Mubama has put Southampton 2-1 up against Stoke City, with whom he spent last season on loan.

Championship: Fer Lopez scores his second goal of the game to put Wolves 3-0 ahead at Deepdale against Preston North End with eight minutes of regulation time to go.

Premier League: Crystal Palace centre-half Chadi Riad has been stretchered off the Hill Dickinson Stadium pitch in tears with what looks like a serious knee injury after getting his studs caught in the turf as he tried to turn at speed. Here’s hoping it’s not as bad as it looks.

Championship: Not long off the bench, Adam Armstrong plays a give-and-go with Raul Jiminez before slotting home to give Wolves a 2-0 lead against Preston. At the London Stadium, Joel Piroe scores a tap-in to pull a goal back for West Ham against Charlton, who lead 2-1.

Premier League: Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels pulls off a sensational save to deny Leeds defender Tarik Muharemovic, who had sent a thumping header goalwards.

Premier League: It remains Nottingham Forest 0-0 Leeds at the City Ground, where the deadlock remains resolutely unbroken and there’s nothing much else of note to report. Ola Aina has just sent in an excellent cross but Igor Jesus made a complete pig’s ear of his header on goal.

Championship: Boos ring out at the London Stadium as Tyreece Campbell shoots into the bottom right-hand corner to score his third goal of the season and put Charlton Athletic 2-0 up against West Ham.

Championship: Blackburn complete their quick-fire turnaround against Boro, with Todd Cantwell heading them into a 2-1 lead at Ewood Park.

Championship: Moments after Middlesbrough had a big penalty shout turned down for what looked like a clear foul on Will Lankshear, Blackburn make it 1-1 between the sides at Ewood Park. Andri Gudjohnsen levels proceedings with his third goal in as many games. At Pride Park, Bobby Clark equalises for Derby County against Cardiff City to make it 2-2 after 49 minutes.

Sergej Jakirovic: “It means a lot, we were organised and it was very good for us,” said Hull City’s head coach in an interview with the BBC following his newly promoted side’s fairly emphatic win over Manchester United. “The players stick to a tactical plan. We suffer because we play against Manchester United but we punished the opponent. We are one year together, we had three new guys and all together they looked like a team there and in the end we succeeded.”

Crystal Palace: The club have denied suggestions that Ismaila Sarr has refused to play for them against Everton because he’s trying to force a move to Galatasaray. Championship: Birmingham City have nabbed a late, late equaliser against Bristol City, with Demarai Gray scoring from the spot five minutes into added time after Rob Atkinson handled the ball while challenging for a header. It’s finished 2-2 at St Andrew’s where the Robins aren’t happy!

Lincoln City 1-2 Portsmouth The Imps are up against it at Sincil Bank, where Portsmouth lead by the odd goal in three. Young Chelsea loanee Ryan Kavuma-McQueen opened the scoring for Pompey and Adrian Segecic doubled their lead with a free-kick that took a slight deflection. The home side have since pulled a goal back thanks to a Reeco Hackett penalty awarded for handball.
