Bristol v Northampton
Kick-off 3pm tomorrow
Venue Memorial Stadium
Last year Bristol 27 Northampton 37
Last five matches Bris: WWLLL North: LWWLW
Ross Beattie's clash of heads with Trevor Leota last Sunday rules the Bristol captain out of the game - Garath Archer will lead them -and the Shoguns' start had been pretty painful for their supporters. Matt Salter steps in at No8 and Neil McCarthy returns at hooker after a knee injury. The Saints, unconvincing on their travels, start with the side that easily beat Newcastle last week, the only change seeing Budge Pountney captain the team from flanker.
London Irish v Saracens
Kick-off 3pm tomorrow
Venue Madejski Stadium
Last year London Irish 30 Saracens 23
Last five matches Lon: LLLLL Sara: LLLWW
Irish may have lost their opening two games and Saracens won theirs but it is the visiting coach Wayne Shelford who rings the changes for the trip to Reading. Adrian Winnan and Nicky Little deputise for Thomas Castaignède and Andy Goode, who both move to the bench, while Abdel Benazzi starts the game. Irish's coach Brendan Venter makes only two changes in his ever-rotating front row, which see the return of Neal Hatley and Naka Drotske.
Newcastle v Gloucester
Kick-off 2.30pm tomorrow
Venue Kingston Park
Last year Newcastle 18, Gloucester 16
Last five matches Newc: WLLWL Glos: WWWWW
Rob Andrew has solved the problem of defusing any more rows with Gloucester by dropping Epi Taione, the Tongan flanker Andrew claimed was racially abused at Kingsholm last season. How Newcastle's director of rugby will solve another problem, of coping with Gloucester's super-charged pack, is more tricky. Richard Arnold fills the gap in the Newcastle back row while Gloucester include the new flanker Peter Buxton in their 22.
Bath v Wasps
Kick-off 2.15pm today
Venue Recreation Ground
TV Sky Sports 2, 1,30pm
Last year Bath 22, Wasps 24
Last five matches Bath:LLLWL Wasps: WWLLW
Wasps' coach Warren Gatland -Alex Ferguson and Arsène Wenger please note - has dropped Richard Birkett and Paul Volley for lack of discipline last Sunday, when they gave away too many penalties. Volley's punishment gives the former England hooker Phil Greening his chance in the back row. Dan Lyle's return is good news for Bath, who play their first home game of the season. Danny Grewcock captains their side three days before his disciplinary hearing.
Harlequins v Leeds
Kick-off 3pm today
Venue The Stoop
Last year Harlequins 40, Leeds 16
Last five matches Quins: LDWLL Leeds: LLLWW
Quins have little to comfort them as they continue to strain necks looking up at the rest of the division. But the memory of last May's thumping victory here over the Tykes might stir them after two defeats. The Fijian centre Viliame Satala makes his debut in place of the injured Chris Bell and Keith Wood returns after the death of his eldest brother Gordon. Leeds, transformed this season, see Derek Hegerty replace the scrum-half Alan Dickens. Quins should win what is sure to be a nervy affair.
