Argentina's head coach, Santiago Phelan, has included four England-based players in his preliminary squad for the summer series. The Leicester prop Marcos Ayerza, Sale flanker Juán Martín Fernández Lobbe, Saracens full-back Francisco Leonelli and Harlequins centre Gonzalo Tiesi will join the Pumas before the two Tests against England and the friendly against the French Barbarians.
Felipe Contepomi, who would normally captain the team, has been left out as he recovers from a serious knee ligament injury.
Argentina play England on 6 June in Manchester before the return match in Salta one week later. The match against the Barbarians will take place in Buenos Aires on June 20, when the Pumas, who won bronze at the 2007 World Cup, will be honoured by the Argentinian Rugby Union. Phelan will cut the 30-man preliminary squad to 26 a week before each game.
