Anders Lindegaard, the Denmark international goalkeeper, has flown into England to complete his £3.5m move to Manchester United from the Norwegian club Aalesund.
Lindegaard is due to take his medical examination tomorrow (Fri) and, if everything goes according to plan, a deal will be concluded for him to move to Old Trafford at the start of January.
The 26-year-old will initially join as understudy to Edwin van der Sar but will have the chance to take over on a permanent basis if the Dutchman decides to retire at the end of the season, having recently turned 40.
