The France coach, Marc Lièvremont, has been forced to make one change to his winning line-up for Sunday's Six Nations match against Ireland. The full-back Clément Poitrenaud comes into the starting XV, replacing the injured Maxime Mermoz with Damien Traille moving to inside-centre.

France began their title defence with a stylish 34-21 victory over Scotland at the Stade de France on Saturday. But the team lost Mermoz to a shoulder injury, which could see him miss the rest of the season.

"We go with stability," Lièvremont said. "I think Damien [Traille] is better physically and mentally than he was in November. I liked his performance at the back. He can play in many positions."

Yoann Huget and Maxime Médard, scorer of France's opening try, keep their places. The veteran centre Yannick Jauzion stays on the bench, alongside Sébastien Chabal for the match at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
