Ireland are the latest team under the microscope over their choice of entertainment in Queenstown after it was reported that they visited a pub there in the buildup to the World Cup.

The Sun has published a photograph of the flanker Stephen Ferris without his shirt on in what it says is the Ballarat pub in the town where England players enjoyed a much publicised night out last Sunday.

The Sun reports that Ferris took off his shirt to get free drinks for the squad and that a £1,600 worth of alcohol was drunk.

The newspaper said that Ireland's players had permission from the country's rugby union for the night out.
