David Moyes is expected to decide in the next 24 hours whether to make a return to management with Real Sociedad, according to reports in Spain.
Moyes, who held talks with Sociedad’s president, Jokin Aperribay, last week following the dismissal of Jagoba Arrasate, has been out of work since leaving Manchester United in April, 10 months after he replaced Sir Alex Ferguson.
Sociedad, whose previous coaches include the current Wales manager Chris Coleman, are reported to have offered the 51-year-old Scot a three-year contract as they attempt to recover from a dreadful start to the season, which has left them 19th in La Liga.
An announcement is not expected to be made until after Sunday’s game against Atlético Madrid.
