Australians love their sport. From the biggest Olympic golds and World Cup victories to the unexpected underdogs and quiet achievers – Australians are always ready to invest in the best stories sport has to offer.

These moments can have you on the edge of your seat, make you laugh or cry, and have the power to unify people or tear them apart in spirited debate. While some are purely spectacular displays of athletic power and skill to outdo an opponent, others transcend sport itself: giving voice to injustice, sparking social movements or offering a powerful reflection of Australian culture. But all leave a lasting mark.

We are asking readers to tell us their all-time favourite moments in the history of Australian sport and what impact it had on their lives.
