Chantelle Cameron unified the world super-welterweight titles with a battling points win over veteran Mikaela Mayer at the Pulse Live Arena in Birmingham.

The 35-year-old shrugged off a bloody left eye from an accidental head clash to earn clear 97-93 (twice) and 96-94 verdicts on the three judges’ cards.

Her win meant Cameron added Mayer’s WBC and WBA titles to the WBO belt she already owned, and re-established herself firmly at the top of her sport.

It was Cameron’s fifth consecutive win since she suffered her only career defeat against Ireland’s great Katie Taylor in 2023.

The pair clashed in the ring immediately after the fight, with Cameron offering Mayer a rematch, and Mayer insisting she had “outboxed” her rival and should have been given the verdict.

Caroline Dubois retained her WBC and WBO lightweight titles with a lopsided points win over Amelia Moore in the co-main event.

Dubois was seldom troubled as she racked up 99-90 (twice) and 98-91 verdicts on the three judges’ cards.

Afterwards, Dubois became embroiled in a heated exchange with Alycia Baumgardner, the WBA, WBO and IBF champion at 130lb, adding the latest chapter to the simmering war of words between the promotional stablemates that has been building for the past year.

Baumgardner, who has moved up to the lightweight division to challenge Dubois, described the Briton’s performance as “lackluster”, while Dubois responded: “I’m 25 and I’m better than you.”
